Taiwan barred all foreign nationals whose flights depart after 19 March 2020 from entering its territory in accordance with measures announced by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC). Travellers should be prepared for further travel restrictions to be put into effect with little or no advance notice.
Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) focuses on fields of innovative technology of the 5+2 Industrial Transformation Plan, features three Expo parks with themes of “Future Technology”, “Innovative Invention”, and “Sustainability”, respectively with interdisciplinary technology projects, as well as inviting international organizations and companies from Southeast Asia, Europe, America and Japan to participate and exhibit with the goal of promoting Taiwan to be the major portal/platform for international R&D exchanging by utilizing Taiwan’s advantages in R&D energy and geographic location as the bridge for technological trade between Southeast Asia and developed countries.
TIE expected that there would be international organizations and companies from over 12 countries participating and exhibiting at the Expo. The organizer hope that with linking major international organizations in this Expo, it is available for Taiwan to demonstrate its advantage in technology integration at linking international technologies to promote partnership among industries and cooperation opportunities of IP technology patents, and further establish Taiwan’s international recognition as match-maker of patent technologies.
TIE was formally known as Taipei International Invention Show & Technomart (INST). INST was the largest invention show in Taiwan with participants from 23 countries of over 1500 invention entries across 23 categories in 2017.
