Demographic
56% of the participating citizen inventors this year are women. That’s much higher than 18% from US, which achieved our goal of empowering women.
Youth participation in invention shows is an area that are in planning stages this year. We will more actively promote the merits of grooming young innovators in 2018 as well as encourage schools to be part of this global innovation movement.
50% of our participants are start-ups and the other 50% are individual innovators.

Outreach
According to International Federation of Inventors Associations (IFIA) and World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA), there have not been any consistent Singapore participation or wins in invention shows for the last 10 years
The return of Singapore team is welcomed by international communities. We are now connected to at least 60 countries across the globe. Our entries are known to many as forward thinking, compassionate and sustainable.
Besides helping innovators to further their achievements, we are also seeking cooperation to build network in countries we have visited. We signed our first MOU with Morocco this year and are expecting to sign with at least 3 more countries in 2018.
We had bring back knowledge, data and information from shows across the world and share with our local communities. We also keep track of development potential of invention show host countries, example Belt Road Initiative (BRI), Global Entrepreneurship Movement, Dubai Expo 2020 etc
