2nd Beirut International Innovation Show 2020 (BIIS) (postponed)

In light of the recent development of the COVID-19 Corona virus, and based on government recommendations, the National Association for Science and Research has decided to postpone the Beirut International Innovation Show which was scheduled on 2 and 4 April 2020 to a date to be determined later according to the development of the health situation.
National Commission for Science and Research, Lebanese non-profit non-governmental organization aiming to promote innovation and technological innovation among youth. Since 2004, the National Commission has organized the annual science fair (Science Match), where hundreds of creative and innovative Lebanese youth present their scientific projects and innovations to the public, rulers, visitors and the media.
The commission also organizes periodic activities with partners and stakeholders, where they meet and discuss various topics related to innovation and entrepreneurship in Lebanon. The Authority has dedicated a section of its headquarters as a business incubator, to support creators in the direction of their innovations.
It also sponsors the participation of Lebanese youth in international scientific and innovative programs. The authority completed the registration of more than 25 patents for these young inventors.
In 2016, the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) chose the National Science and Research Authority as its focal point in the Middle East (IFIA FPME). IFIA FPME serves ITU members in the region to enhance communication among them, and to encourage inventors and innovators in this region.
