Our toughest challenge to date. Out of nearly 3000 entries from more than 44 countries, regions & international organizations; Singapore Citizen Innovators won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze with 3 entries during the recent 2nd World Invention and Innovation Forum (WIIF) held in Foshan, Guangzhou, China (23rd to 25th November 2017).
On top of the main awards, we also received special recognition awards from India, Philippines and Bosnia for our outstanding inventions.
[Mirror Mirror on the Wall], by Annie An, won a Gold Medal! She also awarded Special Award by Women’s Inventors Association (NOVA) from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Gold Award for Invention by Manila Young Inventors Association from Philippines.
[iQurious], by Joleen Seto & TAN Wei Kok from Les Robotique (http://www.LesRobotique.com), won a Silver Medal. They are also awarded Special Award by Indian Innovators Association from India.
[Aglantis], by M. Ibnur Rashad from GUILD – Ground-Up Innovation Labs for Development (http://www.groundupinnovation.org/), won a Bronze Medal!
About 2nd World Invention and Innovation Forum
The focus of this Forum are Invention Promotion, Intelligent Manufacturing and Dream Realization. Covering the following areas:
- Civil-military integration and commercialization of invention achievements, commercialization of invention achievements as well as the IP technological transfers；
- Policies for innovations and Youth innovative education;
- Artificial Intelligence, future science & technology and leading trends of invention and innovation；
- Development of construction for “Belt and Road” initiative；
- Innovation and creativity in other advanced fields.
Thank you Dr Branka for presenting Annie An a Special Award. During the last day of the event, she is unable to locate Annie and have to attend meetings. She caught our President in Baiyun Airport (Guangzhou, China) and he accepted the award on Annie’s behalf.
